Civil Rights

Commitment:

In San Francisco,

where diversity

and inclusion

are cornerstones

of our community

my commitment

to civil rights

is unwavering.

I believe

that every

individual

deserves

equal protection

under the law,

regardless

of gender,

race,

religion,

sexual orientation,

gender identity,

or socioeconomic

status.

My approach

to civil rights

focuses on:

1. Equitable

Opportunities:

Ensuring

that all residents

have access

to excellent

education

comprehensive

healthcare

and equal

employment

opportunities

This includes

addressing

systemic

barriers

that

disproportionately

affect vulnerable

communities.

2. Community

Safety and Justice:

Promoting policies

that protect

all individuals

from discrimination,

intimidation

and violence,

while fostering

trust

and

collaboration

between

law enforcement

and

the communities

they serve.

3. Support

for Vulnerable

Groups:

Strengthening

support systems

for those

who face

the greatest

challenges,

including

women,

the elderly,

people

with disabilities,

people

at risk of racism,

intolerance,

homophobia,

scapegoating,

LGBTQ+ individuals,

renters,

homeless people,

as well

as homeowners,

to ensure they have

the resources

and protections

they need.

4. Inclusive

Policy Making:

Engaging

with community

leaders

and stakeholders

to ensure

that our policies

represent

the diverse voices

of San Francisco.

This means

actively listening

and responding

to the needs

and concerns

of our city's

residents.

My commitment

to civil rights

is to honor

our city’s values

and to work

faithfully

towards

a more just

and equitable

San Francisco

for everyone.
