SODERSTROM
FOR
MAYOR
Noah and Emma
continue on,
taking the shiny clean,
outdoor escalator
to Hallidie Plaza,
the sunken
outdoor section
to the glass
visitor's center,
and into
Powell Street
Muni metro
and BART
underground station,
because it directly
accesses
their cooking classes
from
the underground station
that
connects
to everywhere,
not only
in the City,
but SFO,
the Oakland
San Francisco
Airport
crazily
in Oakland,
and even
Amtrak stations
in the East Bay
part
of the Yay Area:
Bloomingdale's,
the de Young East
museum
and
CITY COLLEGE
DOWNTOWN
via the underground
at
Powell Street Station
Entering Powell Station
via Hallidie Plaza
from the cable car side,
Noah and Emma
were thrilled to discover
the joint SFUSD & CCSF’s
culinary campus
located in the lower level
of the former food court.
The bustling atmosphere
was vibrant with students
learning the art of cooking.
Noah’s eyes sparkled
with anticipation
at the sight
of his future culinary adventures
again this summer.
Bloomingdale’s
Shopping Arcade
Emma,
on the other hand,
was fascinated by the
Bloomingdale’s,
still accessible
from Market Street,
via an opulent arcade
flanked by boutiques
leading to its entrance.
The de Young East
at the Rotunda
—18th-20th Century
American Art Collection
Yet upstairs,
with the entrance
directly out front
on Market Street
leading upstairs
above
the Bloomingdale’s
Arcade,
and accessed
via the enormous
former Adidas store,
now transformed
into the most successful
membership center
to run through
a museum entrance
in the SF Museums'
history or locations.
Who knew between
the Cable Cars
and Moscone Center
was the Right Place,
directly on Market Street,
to put
the Membership Center,
with the escalators
leading directly
up to
The de Young East
Museum
in the Rotunda,
levels two
and three ?
